Works well, but upstream T4 input slot is in an inconvenient position… had to use a right-angled cable!

I use a Dell XPS laptop for work and a M2 MacBook Pro 16” for personal tasks. So it’s really important for me to be able to unplug the Thunderbolt lead from one laptop and plug it into the other and everything ‘just works’.I bought this based on YouTube reviews. Connected to the dock I have:- A 4k monitor (I have a USB C to Displayport cable)- A 2.5 GB Ethernet cable (using a UGreen USB C to Ethernet adaptor)- A keyboard and mouse USB A receiver- A 1080P Logitech USB A webcam- Occasionally a Thunderbolt Crucial removable SSD (for offline backups etc)I’ve been working like this for about a year now so this is a long term review. I had the old M1 MacBook Pro for the first 6 months and now the M2 as described above.On the positive side, it’s exceptionally stable and works exactly as I’d hoped. I can swap my MacBook and Dell laptop and everything just works flawlessly. If you are either a Dell XPS user or a MacBook user then this is perfect - clearly the swapping is specific to me but to use it with either of these products alone it would be ideal. I have never had any speed problems when everything is connected and running.In terms of cons, I have twice had my webcam crash during calls (twice in 12 months remember) and unplugging it from the dock and plugging it back in resolved this. I’m not 100% certain whether this is the dock’s fault or the webcam so I won’t deduct a star. Furthermore, the power brick is bigger than the dock itself and the cables come out at 3 angles - if you had this whole arrangement on top of your desk it would be hideous. I bought a cheap shelf to screw to the underside of my desk to hide everything instead which works great.One neutral point is that it charges at 65W, whereas some competing products offer a faster charge. Both my Dell and my Mac can charge at 100W, so they charge slower than their potential with this. For me, I actually like this since I believe that super fast charging degrades battery longevity, but this might be an issue to others so please think carefully about this.In summary, it’s perfect for me and has worked flawlessly for 12 months now.

Muy buen adaptador, se calienta bastante pero no veo necesidad de estarlo agarrando ya que tiene un cable con longitud suficiente para no interactuar con él

Ich habe 3externe Monitore am MB Pro 14 M1 MAX angeschlossen. Zwei Monitore am USB-C Port und ein Monitor am HDMI Ausgang. Ich habe nach einem USB -C Hub gesucht an dem ich meine zwei USB-C Monitore anschließen kann, um Anschlüsse zu sparen. Das hat mit diversen USB-C Hub‘s von Anker und anderen Herstellern nicht funktioniert, da ich vermute die Stromzufuhr der Wettbewerber zu gering ist. Vor dem neusten MacOS Update habe ich alle 3 Monitore am USB-C Hub angeschlossen, dass hat funktioniert, dass Problem war das ich bem Neustarten immer wieder die Monitore an und aus machen musste damit diese wieder vom MacOS System erkannt werden. Dieses Problem hat ich schon bevor ich den USB-C Hub hatte , dass heißt das Problem bestand auch , wenn ich die Monitore direkt angeschlossen habe. Diese Problem konnte ich mit dem USB-C Hub lösen . Die Monitore wurden auch unter der alten MacOS Version gefunden, jedoch wenn ich nur 2 der 3 Monitore angeschlossen habe ( 2xUSB C am Hub und 1xHDMI Macbook). Beim direkten anschließen 2x USB C MacBook und 1x HDMI MB kann es immer zu Probleme ich musste beim Neustarten die Monitore immer an und aus machen. Dieses Problem hatte ich beim USB C Hub nur wenn ich alle 3 Monitore am USB C Hub angeschlossen hatte. Mit der neuen Version ist es aktuell nicht mehr möglich 3 Monitore am USB C Anschluss anzuschließen weder Hub noch direkt am Mac. Was auf jeden Fall funktioniert ist, das findet man bei den Konkurrenten nicht das man zwei Monitore ohne Probleme anschließen kann. Mit der Software DisplaysLink lassen sich alle USB C anschlüsse mit einem Monitor betreiben, das heisst mit 5 Monitore insgesamt. Leider aber nur mit der hilfe einer externen Software!!!! Auch hier hatte ich keine Probleme mit dem Hub. Mein Arbeitskollege hat 8 Monitore in Verbindung mit DisplayLink am Hub angeschlossen und es funktioniert. Ich hatte vorher den Anker Hub genutzt der funktioniert nicht so gut mit mehreren externen Monitoren. Wer den Hub benötigt um mehrere Monitore zu benutzen , gibt es leider aktuell keine Alternative.

After lot of deliberation and I took a chance to purchase this unit. It arrived on time and all in good condition.I have connected all my messy wires to this dock- 4K BenQ monitor- 4K BenQ monitor- iPhone 10s Max- Samsung Android mobile- Keyboard- Mouse dongleIt is connected to my Macbook pro m1 max. I had issues when using non standard iPhone cable. After using the original cable all worked fine.It is also charging the Macbook without any issues. Have not tested after fully draining the battery. If I have any issues will post an update.
