The size is just right, and the pot seems to be made of good material. I am very satisfied.

It arrived with a very small, but visible dent near the bottom. I'm surprised I saw it, but it should not be there. (see pic)More concerning, it looked as though someone had gone over one set of handle rivets inside the pot with steel wool: a whole series of small scratches. It's bad enough to show easily in a photo.Neither the manufacturer's box nor the shipping box had any damage, so apparently it left the supplier already showing these signs of wear. Not what I had hoped to find on a pot I had researched and paid over $100 for. So back it goes. Also, on the website, the lid handle looks like it might be riveted down, but it is lightly tacked to a plate which is held on to the lid by one anchor point. (See photos) It might be fine, but I'm not sure I want to risk that. Finally, just as information, this is a 20 qt pot, which means 20 qts TO THE RIM. This one is nicely labelled with volume gradations (photo). Even 18 qts would be pushing it on a rolling boil, but I'm an experienced cook and know to expect that in pot sizing. That is how they are all sold, but some people get upset when they find out they cannot put 'X' quarts in their 'X' qt pot.

I've been canning for so many years, but had no idea a heavy gauge pan like this even existed. I knew as soon as I took it out of the box that it was a thing of beauty. Lol. I can put a sink full of tomatoes in this and they won't stick or burn on low to medium heat. Soo many ears of corn can be blanched at once. Will be pefect for chili, chicken and noodles, pasta, etc for a very large crowd. Perfect!

I’ve used this stockpot a few times now for my canning projects and am loving it! I researched stainless stockpots and determined the best quality construction to look for is 18/10 tri-ply so based on Black Friday deal options I felt this one would be a good option. I love it - it has a good weight, I can trust that it won’t burn what I’m cooking, and it cleans up to a mirror finish with Dawn Powerwash. The lid style is what I was looking for too - a glass dome shape with a vent. I’m pleased enough that I can overlook the fact that it’s realistically an 18 quart pot . It’s plenty big enough for my needs.
