Soft flexible and heat resistant.Great for all camping uses. Metal bottom to heat on my propane burner.Flexible sides to take up less storage pace.Lid doubles as a strainer for pasta.Lowers what I need to pack on a camping trip

I bought this for my husband for motorcycle camping. He needs to keep his kit as compact as possible, so this collapsible pot is perfect. It also has a built in strainer in the lid which I am sure will come in handy! He loved it.

The pot isn't suitable for use on an open fire because the silicone will burn. It's primarily designed for use with a gas canister or a small wood stove, which creates another issue: the concentrated heat can cause food to burn and stick to the pot. Despite these considerations, it's still a great item to travel with.

I do quite a bit of backpacking and canoe camping. With backpacking, weight is a major concern. While when canoe camping, weight isn't as much of an issue, but packability is.This has become my go to, summer canoe camping cook pot.During the winter or shoulder seasons, I usually cook over a campfire when canoe camping. This pot should NOT be used over an open fire. However, during summer months, there is usually a fire ban and you have to use some sort of gas stove. When canoeing I'm also usually cooking for multiple people so I need a bigger pot. This one is awesome! It collapses down to about the size of a dinner plate, but pops out to a full 2.5 liter pot!The plastic lid fits very securely and has small holes to vent steam or drain water off of pasta.I can cook enough food in this pot to feed 3 or 4 hungry campers.I did take it on a recent backpacking trip too, where I was 'guiding' a few folks who were just getting started and didn't have much of their own equipment. However, it's a bit too big and heavy for me to bring on solo trips. For that, I bring a 750ml titanium pot that only weighs 5oz, that's all I ever need. For larger groups, this pot is a home run!Very highly recommended.
