I tried other that didn't last as long and paid more. I come back to these because they last pretty good with this cheaper price.

I am retired and sit at home now making things. This set was among the very first bits I bought for my home built cnc machine. I figured since I was learning on my own, cheap bits were an appropriate choice. Now a year later, I am coming back for another set. I have bought better, sharper and longer lasting bits, but these get the job done just fine. I think the set of four would have lasted longer, but in my learning curve I burned a couple and just broke the last one clean off. These bits are perfectly fine for general use or for practice. If you are an experienced professional you likely would not have clicked this link to begin with.

Using these on various hardwoods on a cnc mill, they seem to hold an edge nearly as long as other average uncoated end mills. Ran a few of them now on a full day of cutting and they "squeak" a bit more than my other end mills, might be the flute angle.. but at 1/5 the price for nearly the same cutter life seems like a good option for milling wood. Don't use them on cocobolo.. but walnut, cherry etc held up fine. If you can wait the month to get a pack from China...

Installed into my spindle and works great! I currently have a 400 watt spindle on my CNC mill and was using router 1/4" straight bits for removing stock fast. These end mills perform much better than a router bit. No strain on spindle, smoother cuts, flawless finish. I have used these to pocket thru wood, so I cant advise on other material. But for wood, they are wonderful and at $2.45 per end mill there is no way you can go wrong! I am purchasing a second set just to have on hand. At this price, there is no need to worry about sharpening. Thanks Yosoo!
