I was cautious when the item came, remembering some reviewers mentioned damaged pieces when theirs arrived. The shipment came a day early, was heavy and everything was intact, well packaged and no damaged pieces. I was impressed with how they designed the packaging to get so many parts into the box without wasting an inch of space.Plenty of wrapping and not a single piece was damaged. The set is beautiful. I've used the set twice so far and I can see how it would change the way I adjust my cooking times for a set that responds quickly to temperature. I put a pot of water on to boil for pasta and I swear in less than 5 minutes the water was ready on my gas stove. Just a fluke I'm sure, your mileage may vary.I used the medium sauce pan to warm up some left-over chili, daring the finish to stain but it didn't. And I don't have to tell you how simple the clean up is with this set. Today I used the griddle for sausage patties and the small frying pan for fried potatoes with the medium pan for fried eggs. I swear everything tasted better because the light color means there is no invitation for the food to burn too quickly. I'm a baker as well, always sticking to lighter colored pans so that the bottoms of my beautiful cakes and breads do not darken to an untasteful crust.Used with the right tools, and cared for the right way, this cook ware should last a good long time. I look forward to cooking our meals now. And I particularly appreciate the way the lid can be propped onto the offset in the handle so that boiling liquids stay hot enough to maintain the boil while not boiling over. Happy Camper!

I was so excited to receive my new cookware set. After unpackaging all the pieces, I noticed the lid did not fit properly on the 4.3 qt saucepan and upon further inspection, the pan itself is obviously warped. This was the pan I was most looking forward to receiving as I have never had one this size. After reading many reviews with the word "warped" in them, I decided I didn't want to keep this set and I have returned. I also reached out to Carote and attached pictures but I never heard back from them. At this point I don't know if the pan was damaged in transit or came warped from Carote's factory, but I guess it does not matter. I do not recommend.***UPDATE***: I saw this new set of Carote cookware and decided to give it a try. Here is my review of this 12-piece set that is brand new to Amazon as of 6/28/2024:This is an absolutely beautiful set of cookware. It’s almost too beautiful to use! I especially love the ridges on the sides of each piece. It adds an extra layer of sophistication to the set. I keep the 4.5-quart casserole out on my stovetop because it really is lovely to look at. I like that the set is stackable and appreciate the 3 pan protectors that were included. The knobs on the lids and the handles needed to be attached with the included screwdriver. Very easy to do and took about 5 minutes.I used the 4-quart low casserole for the first time last night and it cooked the food evenly, efficiently and completely non-stick. The clean-up was a breeze. It’s also lightweight, which I appreciate as I rarely use my cast iron pans because they are so heavy. I am looking forward to using the large 6-quart casserole for stew when the weather gets cooler. The largest casserole in the set is also very lightweight.All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase and so happy I ordered this set while it was on sale. Highly recommended! And please note that I am reviewing the 12-piece non-stick cookware set with the ridges on the sides.
