¿Es necesario poseer un carrete como buceador recreativo?
Los carretes de buceo son un artículo esencial al explorar naufragios, cavernas/cuevas, buscar y recuperar, o liberar una SMB retrasada. Los carretes son una línea de seguridad de buceo. Los carretes y las líneas son una manera probada y verdadera para que los buceadores regresen a su punto de partida. Simplemente anclar tu línea a un punto justo fuera de la abertura de la cueva o en el punto de entrada del naufragio y desenrollar tu línea del carrete a medida que avanzas a través de la inmersión. Cuando llegue el momento de salir de la cueva o el naufragio, dale la vuelta y enrolla lentamente la línea de nuevo en el carrete hasta que hayas salido de la cueva/naufragio. Se anima a los buzos de naufragios a atar sus líneas para anclar puntos dentro del naufragio para evitar enredar la línea en cualquier residuo dentro del naufragio.

Consejos para usar carretes bajo el agua. !
Mantén la línea tensa para evitar posibles enredos. Elige el tamaño correcto del carrete, con la longitud correcta de la línea, para la tarea en cuestión. No enrolles más línea en un carrete de la que está diseñada, se atascará. Si la línea se ha rebobinado en un carrete cuando esté floja, desenrollarla y recargarla bajo tensión antes de usarla de nuevo. Los carretes mal enrollados pueden atascarse o la línea puede bloquearse en las bocinas sueltas cuando se libera bajo tensión. Al implementar DSMB, no fijes el carrete a ti mismo. Prepárate para dejar ir un DSMB y carrete si hay algún problema de enredo cuando despliega la boya. Utiliza broches de tornillo en lugar de mosquetones (clips suicidas) para evitar que las líneas se atrapen accidentalmente al recortar. Los carretes pequeños pueden atraer en la tienda de buceo, pero asegúrate de que puedes usarlos cuando uses guantes.

These reels are fantastic!!! Super easy to use, and plenty of room in the finger hole to hold it with two fingers, which is super comfortable!! The only thing I don't like, that I did away with was the black end loop, and the swivel. The swivel is just a failure point, and the black loop on the end is not conducive to easy usage if you are having to make a couple of wraps around a rock or the such in a cave diving environment. I cut the swivel and black line off, and put a big loop on the end to fit the spool through. Great purchase, and really the right tool for the job!!!

Seems to be well made, time will tell. Like any other equipment exposed to salt water I do recommend cleaning in fresh water later so the components don't corrode. Reel came as described and was much less than some of the other name brand reels out there. Goes on every dive.

Had a plastic hand reel that broke so I was looking for something that would last. It’s definitely a cheaply manufactured product but pretty sturdy. I’ll probably order 2 more.

The reel works very well and I am very happy with it.The large holes make it easy to clip it with a double ender, and the swivel clip seems really sturdy.The reel itself is a bit bigger than I expected it to be, which is taking me a bit of getting used to compared to my old finger spool (the basic cheap plastic kind), so do keep that in mind.Another minor issue is that the loop on the other side of the swivel clip is too small to fit over the reel. But I was able to solve this quite easily by just cutting the plastic shrink wrapped plastic at the end of it a bit to make the loop slightly bigger.

This reel is significantly better than the cheap (but almost the same price) plastic reels that barely hold the crappy twisted line they come with. This feels substantial in your hand without being overly bulky or heavy. The finish is nice. The edge of the reel has enough roughness to provide grip while not being abrasive. It easily holds 100’+ of line without seeming over-full or blocking the snap holes. The line is nice too. Easy to see in the water, even in poor viz, and resistant to both abrasion and tangling. The bolt snap is good. No rust, and it still operates smoothly after saltwater use, though I did put some silicone lube on the sliding pieces. Overall, very happy with this spool. It’s my favorite one for shooting an SMB or for towing a dive buoy.
