I used these brackets to replace the original ones on a 1996 dual axle trailer, boat weights about 4700lbs. They are sturdier than the original ones and worked very well. No problems with these brackets, I am using them in brackish and salt water.

Bracket is heavy duty, but swivel portion is flimsy. I had to re-enforce the swivel portion with gussets I fabricated. Today I unloaded my boat for the first time and the swivel brackets folded like cardboard. Mind you that my boat and motor weighs less than 1200 lbs. The swivel brackets are too lightweight and will fail.

these are heavy duty awsome brackets! i rebuilt a klammoth trailer using these and i now have the nicest boat triler around! (put 8ich wide boards with PVC) on them, my boat slides of like its buttered! (i also added the yellow wheeled roler bunkers on these brackets) AWSOME!!! i no longer have to fight with my boat in loading and unloading it. (these brackets are heavy guage strong bracketts!!) just make sure and get the correct size u bolts for them.
