Used in my AVX mount.replaced grub screws with thumb screws makes it a lot easyer to centre

Without it, is very hard to align precisely north. Use it with the "Polar Aligner Pro" App and it will tell you where to put Polaris in the ring around "true north" to make it even more precise.On a standard by-hand mount that should be enough to go from. On a modern gohto mount, you probably only need to use two star finding to make sure it is even more precise.Yes, you could do it without. But why would you do that?

very good product. And I took a chance that it would also fit and thread match an Orion equivalentmount (Sky View), and I was not disappointed. Was also happy that it came with written instruction onhow to use the scope itself.

De tres buscadores de polar, este de marca Celestron ha sido el más fácil de calibrar. Bien calibrado, su seguimiento es muy bueno cuando giras el eje de Ascención Recta.

This just screwed in the AVX mount and polaris was there and when adjusted to center scope was aligned correctly to get started with any kind of alignment. The reticle is not illuminated so can't see when dark but polaris easy to spot. This should have come with the mount and the price is expensive for what it is but a Telrad finder is good enough for most people but need the scope to be on the tripod first and if you got heavy scope then moving the mount together with scope is hard to do.
