Coatings and Prisms
The Outland X monocular features multi-coated optics. What’s more, the prisms inside the monocular are made of high quality BaK-4 glass so that more light is reflected off their internal faces and passes through to the eye. Taken together, the multi-coated lenses and BaK-4 prisms maximize light transmission for remarkably bright, highly detailed images.
The Body
A durable housing protects your Outland X monocular from damage without weighing you down. Viewing through the Outland X monocular is comfortable for both eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers, thanks to the twist-up eyecup.
The monocular can stand up to even the toughest outdoor conditions; it is fully waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent internal fogging.

The Outland X monocular features a close focus of just 8.2 feet, making it perfect for wildlife observers, travel/camping life, or viewing nearby subjects. The Outland X monocular is tripod-adaptable, so you can mount it on any standard photographic monopod or tripod for extended viewing or digiscoping (photography through the eyepiece). Share your greatest discoveries with friends and family by pairing the Outland X monocular with its included smartphone adapter. This accessory connects any smartphone to the Outland X eyepiece. The phone’s zoom feature bumps up the image scale, so you can capture stunning images of wildlife, distant objects, and even the Moon at night! This light, rigid smartphone adapter installs in seconds by clamping over the eyepiece. Tightening knobs securely lock your phone in place. Note that some large and/or excessively bulky phone cases (including folio style cases) may need to be removed for the phone to fit in the adapter. The monocular also includes a protective padded case for storage and transport.

acheté pour voir les animaux en rando, il fait bien son job, léger, compact ne prend pas de place. le support pour téléphone est simple à mettre en place , s'adapte à tous les modèle, pour une photo en mode zoom prévoit un trépied car ça bouge beaucoup. je vais en racheter un 2ème car très bon rapport qualité/prix

I bought this hoping to take photos with my iPhone. The description said it was compatible with all phones.It does not work with phones which have more than one lens.I also found it very difficult, in fact near impossible, to focus while looking through the monocular while wearing my glasses.

The monocular by itself is great. The phone mount that comes with it is pretty terrible - it slips on the phone too much, and must be readjusted often. I had to buy a better phone mount. Now the setup is really good.

Compre este monocular con grandes expectativas por la marca "Celestron", sin embargo fué una gran decepción, por los iguiente:1. es muy difícil de enfocar, aún puesto sobre un tripie.2.- no tiene nitidez3.- presenta aberraciones cromáticas muy marcadas.4.- los colores no son vividos, como se anuncia, mas bien son apagados.5.- aunque el cristal es bak4, no tiene multicapa completo (all), creo que ese es el problema.Lo regrese, se tardaron 15 días en el reembolso lo que me parece exagerado, estuve en contacto con amazón, en esta ocasión no me toco buen servicio.Este monocular no vale la pena, por el precio al que lo venden.

Me gustó que tiene un acercamiento poderoso y se ve excelente, con un poco de práctica enfocas muy bien, no me gustó que las fotos con móvil tienen muy mala calidad, aberraciones indeseadas, este monocular es excelente a ojo pero no con celular, y solo con buena luz, nunca en amanecer o atardecer, pero su calidad de construcción es notable, lo recomiendo después de todo
