Not impressed with quality or quality control on these. Tested them in a decent size hall and the brightness/intensity just wasnt as present in low light as I'd expected. I think the cheaper Rockville would accomplish the same task. Also...1 of the 8 I recieved was not operational. Another 1 needed to be master reset right out of the box because it wouldnt perform the actions selected, and it still performed differently then the others afterward (display wouldnt stay on when I selected the option for it to remain on). It didn't help that 2 other lights arrived 3 days late and missed the gig. Altogether I think these lights are the Lexsus of uplighting.....very similar to a Toyota with a better name

The light is very compact and bright. It connects easily to D-FI and it is easy to manage from a DMX controller that supports D-FI or uses a D-Fi Hub. You can also manage the light through the Chauvet App, but the App is pretty awful and you will be fiddling around with it to get it to work. The app is really only good for setting up before an event and having the lights static or using a default program. The app is not for making active changes during a show. The magnetic snap on diffuser works great and I prefer it. Be ready to lose the diffuser especially if you take this light on gigs or to remote sites. The magnets are terrible and the diffuser will barely stay on. If the light is mounted or pointing downward, it only takes a slight bump for the diffuser to fall off. Not good with humans below and you will likely not find your diffuser after the event. You are going to lose the diffuser so if you need them, order spares so you have them. At this time, Chauvet DJ doesn't have a way to order diffusers. The bummer is no DMX ports so this cannot be hardwired into a DMX Universe. It also uses a DC charging port and the wall plug is a bit bulky. So it is hard to charge a bunch of lights all at once using a standard power strip. It would have been better if they had maintained the same C13 style (computer/monitor) power plug or used a more standard power connector like the outdoor rated IP plug so it could be connected to power if you wanted to during a show and it would make it easier to charge several at the same time. And while there is a 1/4x20 mounting socket there is no safety loop or hole to run a safety cable so this should really not be mounted above any humans. The button to adjust the tilt is very nice and easy to use. It's a nice design. It is missing needed features like DMX ports, and a standard power connector, and no real reason Chauvet removed these features from this product. It's what made Chauvet's earlier lights so nice to take on gigs. These missing but needed features make this a middling product for the money. There are better options for the price from Chauvet DJ.
