Got my kitchen cabinet door hinge tool and it was easy to use. I was able to do the hinge holes within 3 minutes per hole. Quality is good and it sure is value for the money.

I was just getting ready to install some hidden hinges on a new bathroom vanity I'm building, and It seemed as if a jig for placing them would be a good idea. This jig is a LOT less expensive than the typical jigs on the market for this purpose.Sad to say, there is a reason for the lower cost. This jig does provide a positioning point for drilling the two screw holes for the cabinet side of the hinge. That part is useful, though you could make something in a few minutes to do the same thing.But the critical aspect for these hinges is the horizontal positioning of the 35mm hole for the door side, and this jig, as far as I can tell, wants you to adjust screws to use as a rough eyeball reference for positioning the forstner bit hole in from the edge. That makes that part of the jig rather pointless, in my opinion. The more expensive jigs are adjustable in this dimension, and give you a positive, repeatable reference against the edge of the door, which is why they cost more.The forstner bit included with this is... less than adequate. Really, put your $ towards a better 35mm bit for this task. Fortunately this is something I already had, as the included one is pretty rough.Just measuring and marking for the hinge location position is as easy as using this jig. If I had a great many of these hinges to mount, the pricier jigs might be worth it, but for just a few measuring and marking or making a shop made jig from a few wood scraps is going to be easier and probably work better.

It's a pretty simple tool, but a very effective one to say the least. This made my job 10 times easier when it came to installing self-closing hinges on my cabinets that had standard ones prior. I would 100% recommend this!
