U have to be careful or the lead gets pushed in and wont come back down, even if u try to push it out through the other end. The bears tend to come apart from each other when using it as a pencil more easily than others that Ive used.

These ducks are really cute, and the colors are great. However, they are much tinier than I expected.

I actually bought these for an adult ladies bunko party. We used the cute stacking bear pencils to keep score. They were a big hit and all twelve guests took their pencils home! I took the advice of others and slightly dulled the very sharp lead pencil points so they would not break easily. I would not recommend these for young children. They would be good for ages 6 and up, depending on the individual child, of course. Definitely cute for children's party favor bags.

They were a great hit with the kids. I noticed that after the lead is used they dont hold together for writing but simple fix if u add the empty one to the top you can crazy glue them in.
