This is a great product. I imagine any of the low reviews are mostly people who can't figure out the drivers. If you don't have a cd-rom drive, you need to go to the link in the product description above, and download the corresponding driver for your system. Install that. Restart your computer. Then this adapter will turn your VGA monitor into a useable source.I have a broken laptop screen, and used this adapter to hook up my old VGA monitor to the laptop. I have another monitor attached via HDMI. Now I have two monitors again. Also, I can use all three sources if I want, all with their own individual extended, not mirrored, display. Despite one being broken...Ty for the awesome product! Much cheaper solution then getting my monitor fixed. Glad I didn't buy the other adapters on Amazon, some that were close to $100! insanity.

It works great. I downloaded the driver and installed it in a few minutes - then everything worked just OK, plug and play, no need to restart the computer.NOTE: I have an older model of ThinkPad X1 Carbon that has 2 USB ports. First I connected to one of them and the image quality was bad (low resolution only). Then I switched to the other one and everything was OK, with great image quality and HD resolution. That made me realize that one USB was 3.0 (the one I needed to use) and the other USB 2.0 (that didn't work well with the Adapter.Happy with my purchase and I will advice my fellow Amazonian Buyers to check in the computer system settings the type of USB (needs to be 3.0 to work properly)

I recently decided to retire my desktop in favor of a Surface Book 2, and I wanted to add an extra screen onto it. The Surface Book 2 has a USB-C port alongside a number of USB 3.0 ports, but no VGA or HDMI ports. I figured this would be a good solution, and I had the goal of eventually hooking the monitor up to a dock. The package arrived and I hooked it up. Nothing happened at first, so I looked at the instructions. It came with a disc which had the drivers on it, but my Surface Book didn't have a disc drive. The instructions (which were obviously translated from Chinese with Google Translate) gave a link to a website where you could download a driver for it, so I went to the website and everything SCREAMED "super sketchy."I decided to download the drivers anyway, since I had spent $16 on this thing already and I wanted it to work. Installed them and rebooted. The monitor flared to life, but had an extremely poor refresh rate -- I could actually see the monitor refreshing with my own eyes. The driver reported it was refreshing at 60 Hz, but I could see that was clearly NOT the case. Bear in mind this monitor was working absolutely fine hooked up directly to another computer not even an hour beforehand, so it's not the monitor's fault.I plugged it into another USB 3 port and the refresh rate was marginally better, or maybe I stopped noticing it. But then when I went over to use the display, there was about a quarter-second of lag before I could see any input I did. My first screen was working fine, but anything I did on the second screen would take several seconds before it appeared.Okay, fine, whatever. I just stuck a website on it and decided not to use it as my primary monitor. I booted up a game using my laptop's monitor and played for a couple hours... before the screen went dark on my secondary monitor. The screen blinked on, then off, then on, then off again before I finally got frustrated enough to pull the plug.Save your money. Don't order this.

After this, I may have to hurry up and watch Wit Studio's , but in the meantime I can say with absolute certainty that these people know what they are doing because in the best trainiac anime since , they prove it!Steampunk industrial revolution Japan ruled by the Shogunate is under assault by a virus that transforms humans into (mostly) mindless zombies such that normal humans now survive in fortress-like "stations" linked by armored steam trains. However, in the long run this is a losing battle as stations occasionally but invariably fall to the zombies; they are not taken back. As our story begins the station town of Aragane is assaulted and overrun by the zombies, but the survivors flee on the armored train Kotetsujo with a couple of aces in the hole, people who have acquired the power of zombies without losing their minds or their humanity, the kabaneri. The first half of this short 12 episode series mostly involves the trainload surviving various zombie tricks and learning to trust one another while the second half deals with the intricate plotting of the shogun's son. Though the series will apparently continue it ends on a good climax. All in all a cleverly handled, well thought out story.

I love post apocalyptic anime. I've been an anime fan since high school in the 90's, and some of my favorite stories in anime are in the post apocalyptic genre. Wolf's Rain, Casshern, Noein, and others are wonderful. More recently series such as Attack on Titan have become increasingly popular, and for good reason. If I had to sum up this series so far, I'd describe it as "Snow Piercer meets Attack on Titan, but with Zombies"Kabeneri of the Iron Fortress was created by the same studio that made Attack on Titan, and it is extremely obvious in the character design and animation style. Even the plot shares some of the same devices.Humans are a dwindling species, and live in "stations" surrounded by walls that keep out the Kabane. The Kabane are humans that have been infected with a virus that effectively turn them into zombies. These Kabane however are extremely strong, fast, and hard to kill due to a crystal like substance surrounding their heart.Kabaneri are those that have been infected by the virus but have (through one way or another) not turned completely into Kabane. This gives them increased strength, speed, and durability without the mind altering or destroying effects of becoming a full Kabane. They retain their humanity. They do however, need to drink human blood in order to sustain themselves. The plot moves at about the same pace as Attack on Titan, where a LOT happens in the first episode, followed by a few slower paced episodes. While the fighting scenes are absolutely amazing and put together well, they are not the main focus of the series. While they wow you, the series takes care to not make it the focus, relying instead on developing each character, the world, and the politics of the remaining human colonies.Since only a third of the series (I am assuming 24 episodes) is available right now I can't say that my rating will not change yet, but for right now the storytelling, politics, and characters of the world have made me a huge fan. There hasn't been as many "shocks" or "twists" as Attack on Titan yet, but the series is still young
