When the name of a product says "fireproof" and "waterproof," I expect the product to be both fireproof and waterproof.Maybe the metal casing of the frame will survive a fire, but with the lack of insulation there is no way the items inside will be protected from the damaging heat of the fire. As far as being waterproof - no chance. There is no seal around the door and it is simply a small metal bevel making contact with the metal door.A fireproof/waterproof envelope (if you would trust something that thin to protect your documents) does not make it a fireproof/waterproof safe.I didn't even check the electronic lock because I packed it away to send back immediately. The manual locking mechanism does feel a bit cheap. If you want a metal lockbox to keep people from easily stealing some things, maybe this is it. But a safe to keep items safe in a fire or flood? Get something else.Amazon needs to do something about these products that have misleading or incorrect titles. I noticed there are quite a few of these fake fireproof/waterproof safes - while I haven't purchased a different one yet, just take a look at the Amazon Basics safe or the Sentry Safe fireproof and waterproof safes and you'll see the difference around the door opening, even on the pictures. I'll probably purchase one of those instead.If the item were marketed as a large lockbox and did not say fireproof and waterproof, my review would be different. But then again, maybe I wouldn't have purchased it.

I like the option for both keys and keypad as it adds some extra security. I am disappointed with the weight of the safe, I had to weigh it down to make it more of a deterrent to being moved. I cannot use the floor mounting so would be nice if it had a back mounting option.

I had read some reviews on safes that indicated instructions were not well written. I found the instructions with this safe well written. Seems well built and sized nicely. Came with good quality bolts for attaching to walls or floor. Nice that it came with two sets of keys and a separate fire retardant bag.Not sure about waterproof nature of safe , but I think bag is. A little confused about setting the date because I didn’t read the instructions, lol. And the date format is yyyy mm did.I like the option of up to 8 digits for code.

I just got this safe and set it up. It looks really nice. It's tall but really not bulky looking. Took me a moment to get it programmed, but once I read through the instructions, it was an easy set up. The safe is lighter than I expected, but it does come with the necessary parts to bolt it down. The inside is actually bigger than I thought it would be, which is great. I'm not sure about how waterproof or fireproof it is without immersing it in water or setting it on fire, but I am assuming it will both given the description. It did come with a fireproof/waterproof bag, which is great for my legal documents.

I am very pleased with this item. It seems very sturdy and it's heavy enough to be hard to move especially after it's loaded. I really like the alternative ways to open it.
