I have not tried to install this on my drill press yet. However, I did examine the unit and found that the taper that tightens the collet is overshadowed by some metal that I believe should have been removed during machining. Perhaps this is to hold the collet during installation? Also, in the pictures the chuck is shown with a collet and bit installed. I did not expect the bit but thought that the collet would come with it. It does not. Other than that, it is nicely machined and feels like a quality tool. The threads for the collar are nicely machined and very smooth to operate. If I am wrong about the collar then I recommend this tool as it seems like it was made with care.

The holder is concentric and holds the collets firmly. Machining seems solid and well made as well. I have no complaints.
