For decades, this has been my "go-to" lure for Spanish Mackeral and Bluefish. I use it almost exclusively for trolling along the South Carolina coast during the summer months, and I normally attach it to a number 1 planer. I have caught the occasional King Mackeral on it when I venture farther offshore, but typically the "0" and "00" Clarkspoons are my Spanish spoon of choice. The hooks are susceptible to rust, so be sure to clean and dry them well after use in salt water.
