I haven't had a tongue ring in for years because it's just something that I forgot about. I came across this barbell though, and I was curious about it because of the whole thing laying flat on the tongue, as opposed to any other barbell I've had. So, it came quickly and I was very happy to see it went right in! The only issue for me, is I'm an amputee and it was extremely difficult to get the bottom screwed back on. There's not a whole lot to grab onto, and it really took me 20 minutes to get it. I'm sure other people would've just gave up, but because I'm ridiculous and refuse to accept defeat, I kept trying. I eventually did get it and it is perfect. It lays nicely and it does lie flat, so it doesn't get in the way. It was also different to me because of the way it screws on. There's actually a little tip that sticks out on the flat piece, so you have to make sure it's lined up perfectly to go into the opening on the barbell stem, and then twist it on. I don't really know of a way that it could be done and made easier for someone like me, but that's the only negative thing I saw or felt. I can't penalize the brand for that though, it's not their fault I have a disability anymore than I can blame myself. But for those that have all of their fingers or hands, this tongue ring is fantastic and I definitely recommend it.

It was ok, the flat top felt a little sharp resting on my tongue, I gave it a few days but still the same result. Overall great product I just prefer the balls.

After my daughter getting her ears pieced a few years back, it got brought how I use to have a tongue ring. The piecer said that I could probably still get a bar through it because tongues take forever to heel. I saw this the other day and thought it was worth the price to try. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get it through my tongue yet, looking like I might have to pop it through which I probably won't do. Seems like a good tongue ring and should do the job of I ever get it in.
