This induction burner delivers tons of power. Typical 120V plugs can only do 1500W, but this more than doubles that to 3500W. It heats up fast and HOT. Water boils in a few minutes, and pan frying gets way hotter than I usually need. I often have to turn it down to 2000W or less to reduce burning, but when I need the power it's there.Note that this unit has a 6-20 240V plug. This is not for the typical 120V household outlet. If you have a dedicated 120V outlet with nothing else on it, it can be converted to 240V easily. The wire size and number of wires is the same. Otherwise without a dedicated outlet, stick to the 120V units.

I like the power. But it would be better if you had more temp options to select. It goes from 190F to 250F with nothing close to the boiling point of water. I will probably only use this cooktop when I need rapid heat recovery or when cooking large amounts of soups or stews where temperature is not critical.

Yes your kitchen has 240v. Got an oven or electric range? Probably 240v. I bought a 240v power splitter so my oven stays plugged in and my induction top here I can leave or easily plug it in when I need it for brewing and whatever you do with that mashed up stuff a week after brewing. Works awesome and so much safer than open flame around that stuff. It’s worth it right there. I’m using a 25 gallon stainless pot and it works awesome. @3500 watts it’s taking 6min/gal to boil. You ever get a gallon of water to boil in 6 minutes? Thumbs up! This is not a complaint: take the magnet that comes with it and throw it at your neighbor. It’s useless. Why? Because my old, cheap aluminum pots and pans are working just as well as the fancy 25 gallon stainless steel pot I bought for brewing that the magnet did stick to, well, any magnet would. It’s not special. But magnets don’t stick to my aluminum pans but they work anyhow. But what makes it an inverter then? It’s just cooking with heat, not magnetism. Idk, whatever. Haha. Don’t think about it, get the big boy here. I was disappointed with a normal 120v 1500 watt unit so I sent it back and got this.LOVE THISSuggestion: An electronic device like this makes the add-on warranty a good buy in this case. I can see myself cracking the top or something for all the weight I place on it, and get a Y Splitter Adapter 240v that matches this plug and your oven or dryer.Cook in your laundry room. It’ll be fun and your clothes will smell amazing. LOL
