Every once in awhile one finds a kitchen item that exceeds expectations like this kettle does. It is exceptionally well made. A good deal of thoughtful design went into making this. Perfect fine stream of water at ideal temperature for coffee pour over prep. The built in temperature guage let's me heat to different temps for coffee and teas. Super efficient heating on induction cooktop as well! And, silicone sleeve to protect hands from the heat. Kudos to the designers! I've truly appreciated the features of this kettle daily for over a year. In addition, it is sturdy and will surely last a lifetime.

The glue started smoking and went on fire after 4 months of use rubbish.

After 1 usage the glue of the bottom started to melt during heating.Very disappointed with the quality

I love how you can strive to create a great coffee each and every time by using this precise slow pour kettle. Nice product, part of making great pour through coffee!

I first bought the hario buono kettle, locally but, it didn't have a thermometer lid like the coffee gator kettle has. There are 2 issues with this kettle, firstly water got trapped into the thermometer lid (coffee gator is sending me a replacement lid) and secondly, the inside of the kettle has this chemical smell that won't go away. I have prepped the kettle as per the instructions that were given, boiling water in it twice the first day i received it. The smell was still there after prepping it so, I thought the odor would go away after using it for a while but, that wasn't the case. So, then I did the prep (fill kettle with water and bring to a boil, then empty kettle) twice more but, this time I poured more water into the kettle; the smell still didn't go away. I gave up and, threw away the kettle. If you buy this kettle please make sure to smell the inside of it and that it doesn't have a chemical odor to it.Update - October 30thThey sent me a new kettle with a new thermometer lid and this kettle is odorless. The thermometer encasing has no water or steam stuck inside of it after cleaning and using. So far so good.
