I use this every day. It’s great for washing rice, fruits and vegetables as well. Money well spent.

I have a few colanders but I didn't have a 3 quart one and I didn't have a metal one with so many small holes in such a complete pattern. This has become my most used colander. I don't have to worry about spaghetti slipping through the holes or water remaining in the bottom. The 3 quart size is plenty big for cooking for 2 or more people and it fits inside my saucier (like a sauce pan but with rounded bottom corners for whisking) to keep my pasta warm and moist while I am finishing other parts of the meal. I put a little water in the bottom of the pan, set the colander in it, and put the lid on top.I have used the matching bowl at times when I needed to drain away from the sink. The only reservation I might have is that the handles might bend if you tried to hold it one handed, but just don't do that. The flat profile they have might allow for using this as a steamer inside a pan with a slightly larger diameter but I haven't tried that.This might have seemed like a slightly frivolous purchase since I already have other colanders but this is the one I would keep if I downsized to one.

I used this XL 6QT colander from the POPGRADE Store over the Christmas holidays to prepare a variety of meal items for several dinners, and it was sturdy and dependable each and every use-case scenario. It was so fantastic and easy to use for everything from pasta and rice, to boiled potatoes, rutabaga, steamed broccoli and asparagus, helping me streamline the preparation process so well that I was asked where on Earth I got such a great straining tool, and was surprisingly the subject of much conversation during mealtime, hah.The POPGRADE brand provides this particular colander in 5QT, 4QT and 3QT size variation also, so there is a size for every cooking need, I would think. I am so pleased with the largest option that I don't necessarily think I would need anything else, but I might consider the 3-4QT also for travel use.Overall, this is a very well-machined product that serves a very important purpose in my kitchen. 5 stars.

Bought this for the strainer to clean small parts. It worked perfectly.
