I like that it works as designed, can be unthreaded to clean and does a good job not letting large material through and ruin/clog my pump.

I'm using this at the start of my intake from the koi pond to the (above ground) external pond pump. It keeps the large debris from making it into the priming pot or pump. I have a sponge or brush on a pole that I'll use to remove debris trapped against the sides. So far it's working great.
