Dónde empezamos:
Todo comenzó cuando creamos la primera linterna portátil de gas que iluminó el primer juego de fútbol nocturno al oeste de Mississippi. En la Segunda Guerra Mundial, nuestras estufas de camping transformaron la forma en que los soldados comen en el campo. Seguimos revolucionando el aire libre con nuestra fabricación de hieleras en los años 50, y en las décadas que seguimos agregamos tiendas de campaña, sacos de dormir, iluminación y más.
Dónde estamos hoy
Después de 120 años, Coleman está en todas partes donde estés, en el camino, junto al lago, en el campamento o en tu propio patio. Siempre estamos alrededor de un lugar donde hay amigos, hieleras y fogatas. Por lo tanto, coge una tienda de campaña, enciende una parrilla y levanta una silla. El exterior está llamando. I'd had a two mantle Coleman Lantern. When I lost it in a move and I was seriously bummed out. When I saw this one, I didn't even think twice about ordering it. Not only is it an improved version of the one I had for many years, but it's in a carrying case that will protect it much better than the box that the old one came in that I had to tape up a zillion times over the years.Great product and great case to protect it.

Do you have hairy hands but hate using razors to shave them? This is the tool for you! Just put the lantern together and crank up the propane. Let it sit for a minute or so and introduce a lit match to it and WHOOSH!! Hair is gone! So is the flame from the match and quite possibly, the match too!! Haha!!On a serious note: this lantern is amazing. It is really bright, it includes two mantles and a book of instructions with pictures. It's all pretty simple. The carrying case is a brilliant idea which works in my favor because I'm clumsy and glass is in danger around the likes of me. There are two little foam cubes included. It took me about 20 minutes to figure out what they were for because the instructions are in Spanish, French, Italian and English but luckily for me, all the pictures were in English so I just looked at those. The cubes are padding for the lantern housing to rest against during storage and transport.For the money, this is a great purchase. I'm excited to have this in my camping inventory as I take my wife and children on our first cabin campout at the Lake of the Ozarks this summer. By then, the hair will be back just in time to get sizzled off again. I will return later and give an updated review after I put it to its intended use for a week. Used this for the first time this past weekend, so I've only had limited experience so far. (I'll update this review if I run into a problem later.) Some brief highlights:* The lantern works quite well. It puts out a good deal of light and is well constructed.*Like other reviewers, I am concerned about the possibility of cross threading the soft aluminum header in the lantern versus the propane tanks. When attached the propane, take your time and be careful not to over tighten.* I think it is well worth the money to buy the version with the hard case. It is a nice case, easy to put the lantern away and makes is great to pack.* Like any propane product, there is some propane "hiss" while it burns, but I didn't find it bothersome. Possibly I expected some, so wasn't surprised.* This lantern does NOT have a ignition built in,so you have to use a match or a small torch, but it was easy enough to light.Overall, a good lantern. We'll see how it holds up with time. The only reason for the 4stars instead of 5 is the issue with the soft aluminum threads.August 2010 Follow Up: Still using it and it is working great! We don't camp all that frequently, so I won't say we've given this a hard workout, but it gets used each summer and is always up for the task. Still strongly suggested.
