I love my old style Columbia pants, but I had tried some of the other styles and their drawback was that they were too tight in the calves, especially the ones with the zipper legs. This new style is not too tight in the calves. These are very nice, they have overcome that drawback. This pair has a phone pocket. At first I thought would be too small for my rather rugged case on my good size phone, but it fits perfectly. It has a hidden zipper pocket right next to the regular right hand pocket. That's a really nice bonus, if you want to stick your Driver's license or credit card in there and make sure you don't lose it.I really appreciate that the hidden zippers to turn the pants into shorts are different colors. One is gray and one is blue, which makes it much easier to figure out what you're doing when you want to zip the pant legs back on. That was GENIUS!The cuffs roll up in a little bit different way. They have snaps instead of a strap that comes around and holds them up. The snap is right on the pant leg. You can either roll it until you can see the snap and then just bring it up, or you can fold it in half so you can see the snap and then fold it. Either way, it folds up nicely. It has a piece of binding tape that keeps it from just getting all soft and scrunchy. It folds and stays nicely folded. I did end up getting the regular length pants which means that I will probably always wear them rolled up because they are too long for me. I am only 5' 2". I don't mind that because my ankles tend to get hot, so these are perfect.The color is a nice deep blue, not all of my pictures seem to have good color. The fabric is their usual good, stretchy, water repellent, wind resistant fabric, maybe slightly heavier than my previous pairs. The first time I bought a pair of Columbia pants. I hesitated to spend the money but after wearing them and traveling with them, I found that they are light weight and more comfortable and more water and wind resistant than jeans. I should add that I normally get a size 8 short. However, I have gained a few pounds. And so this time I should have gotten a size 10 short if it was available. I would say that at 5' 2", I want a 10, if I am anything over a 140 pounds.

Originally I bought a pair of Silver Ridge convertible pants from Columbia but sent them back because the fabric had absolutely zero stretch to it. These Leslie Falls pants are so much better. The waistband could use a little more stretch to it but overall these are super nice. The zip off legs are roomy enough to not be uncomfortable around the zippers and the two different colored zippers are smartly done. I also really like that they can be rolled up into capris. The pockets also seem pretty good, as I can fit my huge wonking smart phone in all of them, even the narrow cargo pocket on the side. I haven't actually used these hiking yet, just around town doing errands, but they hold their shape well enough yet don't feel uncomfortable or constricting. Super glad I found these, as it's been hard finding a good pair of zip off hiking pants that fit properly.

If I could give these pants 20 stars I would. First off, they are extremely comfortable. I absolutely love these pants. I wore them for the first time for a day at the beach. I left them as pants because it was chilly in the morning and when I got to the beach it was warm and I was able to convert them to shorts with just a quick unzip. They are super soft and feel amazing on my skin. The fit is great and they are true to size. I love how they look on my body. I want one in every color! They wash well and didn’t cause any problems after washing. They were easy to change back into pants with the zipper. I like how they can also be made into a capri pant with the help of a button near the ankle that can roll them up a bit. These pants are great for being outdoors because they can be worn different ways. I definitely recommend these!

I'm really happy with these pants! The material feels great, and the fit is just right, not too tight or loose. It’s well-made and seems durable enough to really last, which is a big plus. I love how versatile it is. I’ve gotten compliments on it already and will definitely be adding similar ones! Overall definitely a great value. We've been doing a lot of hiking and these have been perfect.
