I can’t tell how sturdy it is with keeping the door open because it is just slightly resting on the plastic cube. The first package I got a defective hook, but I got a new one fairly quickly and this one seems to be working pretty good. The birds were skeptical at first, but they seem to get the hang of it after a day. It fits two parakeets at once. So far it has contained the mess which was my end goal. Only complaint is I wish it had a way to put food in easier.

Where has this been all my life? Decreased seed splatter all over the house by 95%. I’m not lying. My birds are so messy. It would be nice if these came in larger sizes for other birds, but this is great for a cockatiel, but the cockatiel is not gonna sit on the porch, but you can fill both of those areas with seed and it will last a couple days. Perfect for two day getaways

Best feeder I e found that helps to minimize mess. Also, you can flip upside down and wash on the top shelf of your dishwasher.
