It works well and looks good too. Looks like the case is 3d-printed, it consists of two parts. You can disassemble it and assemble back easily. You can glue them together if it bothers you. There are two places where you can put jumpers to select or adjust a function, but my kit only came with one jumper (not a big deal, but I'd rather have one extra jumper than one missing).S-Video socket actually provides obviously superior image quality compared to A/V (composite) socket. This thing sits tightly in your C64 socket, which probably is a good thing.

These little plugs are great for making things easy by letting you use real A/V cables for composite and s-video. I have two of them, the s-video works fine but it does show the jail bars and artifact flaws of your VIC-II chip depending on it's revision (easy fix with a lumacode fix mod board). I mainly use it for the audio out since I have a lumacode rgbtohdmi mod installed in both my c64's but that mod doesn't affect s-video or composite use from the A/V port. So yeah, this little plug is worth buying if you want to use svideo (or use svideo to a vga converter box to upscale, which looks quite good but again, makes the vic-ii jailbars standout). This is cheaper than buying custom cables since it pretty much does everything (except for seperate chroma/luma cables that a real commodore monitor would take, but that's essentially what a S-video cable is anyway, just combined in to one). I would recommend this. And again, if you get one and the s-video has jailbars or artifacts, get a lumacode board fix and you can tweak that away, but the degree (if any) depends on the revision of your vic-ii chip. Oh and this is for the 8 pin version, there is a 5 pin version out there too for the older c64s that only have a 5pin video port. so make sure yours has 8 pins cause this is a 8 pin version.

HoneyLans Commodore 64/128 AV Adaptor - S-Video Composite & 2ch Audio L/R works OK on the Commodore 64 , but the case is very cheap made and falls apart when you remove the adapter from the computer.

The real advantage of the HoneyLans Commodore 64/128 AV Adaptor is how it allows you to use easily available, high-quality modern cables rather than hunting down the specialty cables from the 1980s or cheap modern remakes. Instead of being stuck with outdated options, this adaptor opens up access to S-Video and composite connections, which are much easier to find and often deliver better quality. The video output is sharp, especially with S-Video, and the audio is clear with no distortion. It’s well-built and plugs in securely, giving you a reliable connection without having to worry about fiddling with rare or worn-out vintage cables. For the price, it's a simple, cost-effective way to improve your Commodore 64/128 setup and make the most of modern AV equipment. Highly recommended for retro computing fans!
