I use this to operate a piece of industrial bakery equipment and charge my EV at the same time at a commercial kitchen. The kitchen has only 1 240V outlet which is a L6-30R for the bakery equipment, but I wanted 240V charging for my car also while on site. The bakery equipment doesn't draw much power, but it is imported from Europe so requires 240V and already had a L6-30P plug installed on it. My portable EV charger draws 16 amps and has a 6-20 plug that I use an adapter to plug into this splitter. I plug the equipment directly into the splitter which is plugged into the wall outlet and run an extension across the warehouse to get to my car outside. Works great! I can run the machine and charge the car at the same time and does not trip any circuits or even get the cables warm. Much cheaper than having an electrician come install another 240V outlet. Would definitely buy again!
