As with all the best tools this is both simple and very effective. There are some excellent 'how to' videos on Youtube if in any doubt how to use this but it really is simple - just make sure the blue plastic arm is flush (flat) before when you commence pressing down to acheive the 'click' and you will get an accurate reading.Highly recommended for the amateur spanner-man and this is especially useful when checking the serpentine belt on Jeep XJ Cherokees which require surprisingly tight belts (140-150lbs)

inexpensive and compact.Does the job of much fancier, much more expensive tools and much better than just guessing belt tension.
