The keyboard sounds very nice. It's pretty good for the price range of around $100 (which is what I bought it for, and I'm not sure I'd pay more), but it should be noted that yes, it's all white backlighting only. The keys are easy to get used to if you can touch type. It took me only one day to adjust with minimal errors in my typing (mine is around 120 wpm). The funky feeling of convex keys are pretty fun to touch though; rather unique. The CoolKiller Balloon 84 has a driver that allows you to map the keys to different functions as well as offers three other light modes that aren't available without the driver. Just go to coolkiller.net/download to get it. The keyboard backlight can be turned off with Fn+Enter when it is wired and when it is Bluetooth, and there are many different light modes to play with without the driver if you don't want to get it. To switch between light modes, just use Fn+ buttons. I like my own user profile light mode (you can create your own mapping of what you prefer to keep lit/off) as well as the music modes, where the lights react to music playing (need driver for this). It's super fun to play with, and satisfying even though the only color is white. It feels and looks clean...but the keys do catch a lot of cat hair, lint, and bits of dirt super easily though, so please be aware of that. I was already shooting mine with my compressed air duster on the first day I got it. On the driver system you can also adjust the time it takes for the keyboard to go to sleep or turn off, and same thing with the backlight. On the slight negatives, I think having to look at external websites or pdfs repeatedly to review the manual is a bit annoying, because this keyboard comes with nothing instructional. No manual, no instructions, but they're easy to find online, and that's my only big gripe. Why is it only online and not physically in my hands or in the box? I put my keyboard in Win mode, and then was very confused when I pressed f12 and didn't get louder volume but instead, a calculator popped up. The icons on the keyboard do not match up with a Windows computer system; someone in a different review said they're Mac icons? But that's where a manual would have come in handy lol. But to cut half of my frustration, I mapped all the keys in the F bar to match the icons they represent, so thankfully now most of my functions match the icons and the only things I have to remember are hotkeys. Fn+Back is the battery query, for example, and Fn+1/2/3 are bluetooth connectivity buttons. The keys are very nice and slick and make a consistent, light thocky noise. I plan on getting the tactile version later, because I couldn't choose between the two and I think I'd like it just as well. I did put tape inside the spacebar because I hate a hollow spacebar, but I don't entirely think it was necessary and it does mess a tad bit with the visual of the light seeping through (don't care, still did it anyway, plus I used white tape to minimize the appearance of tape inside it). Spacebar was easy to remove and replace. I think as far as a keyboard goes, this is pretty nice if you know what you want. It lets you map your own keys, adjust your own backlit keys, dim/brighten, etc. It sounds smooth, a bit on the quiet side imo, and feels good and unique. The keyboard is also very thin and not too heavy. It has weight but nothing like a Kiiboom or Lofree Dot. It's as small as my epomaker minicat 64. Hope this helps!

I really enjoy this keyboard. Since I’ve bought it I only needed to charge it once. The battery life is fantastic. Low noise level and easy to type with. It’s sturdy and a little heavy but in a good way. Types smooth and has a ton of different light settings. Favourite keyboard.

This is an ok keyboard, but for the current price of $150 USD, I can't recommend this board unless you have the spending money and want something a little "different".So what's different about this board compared to the numerous of other really great budget keyboards, or boards in the same price range? The low profile design, and the keycaps, which to me is its biggest selling features, but also what I have the second biggest gripe with (first being the price). The keycaps look like soft rounded chiclets, and while they offer great diffusion (to a white light-only LED btw), I do not think it types well at all. As a matter fact, the longer I typed on it, the more annoyed I got. Sure, it's unique blah-blah-bah, but will it work for those of us who spend hours typing away on a keyboard each day? Definitely. As someone who types well over 144 wpm, typing on this keyboard felt restricting. I cannot recommend for someone who values accuracy and speed. The keycaps offer neither. It's unique - because it's low profile, and has really great looking keycaps with nice diffusion. But the backlighting is only white? For such great diffusion, why not spring for some RGB too, so that the users can really appreciate the extra colors? It's already $150 USD for goodness sake! The light patterns look nice though, as they light up smooth and not stilted like cheaper boards.Build quality is good, but once again, this board is $150 USD, and for this price you can get a solidly built aluminum keyboard and then some. The Leobog Hi75, for instance, sells for under $100 and is massively better quality. So once again, you're paying for this specific look, which it does look nice, but you're not going to get a lot of function out of it.How does it sound? Nothing to write home about. Stabilizers are fine, but the board overall sounds hollow. No thocks or twumps or cream here.

This thing is terrible for how much it costs, imo. I didn’t know that you can’t dim the backlighting, or even turn it off while the device is powered. This makes this keyboard blinding at night, or even during the day. You can’t change the color either so I hope you like bright white if you buy this. It is also SO hard to connect this thing wirelessly. This keyboard really did not come with instructions, so sometimes when the f1key is blinking, and then we look up how to fix it, and then when we try, f8 will start blinking faster (this is hard to explain without showing someone what I mean. But when I try to connect wirelessly, there is always a problem). I’m like… why do I have to play games to get my keyboard to work. It only works affectively when it’s wired, and even then, it is not user friendly, as it only has like two buttons (that switch it from Mac to windows, and turning it off and on). I regret this purchase the most out of all my purchases on Amazon, only because it was so expensive and I was hoping for great quality. This keyboard has the quality of a $40 item. Not good at all.

I am absolutely in love with this keyboard, it is quiet, beautiful made, and has a unique feeling every time you touch the keys. The different light options are fun and the keyboard has a lot to offer. It took me less than a minute to set this up to my laptop and iPad. I have been using an Ajazz 820 pro for a long time and had a hard time determining which keyboard I would want to switch to. I decided to get the balloon keyboard before getting the lofree dot keyboard which has been on my wish list forever but I am so glad I went with this keyboard first. The price is great for the keyboard you are receiving and the shipping was amazing! I am so excited to be using this keyboard as my daily! Do NOT sleep on this keyboard.
