This is a review is for the Corelle Global Collection Terracotta Dreams plates. The quality of the printed graphic on these dishes is inconsistent. Each plate is printed differently and some areas are faded, some are not. The graphic print feels rough in some areas and I would think the graphic will wear off in time if put in the dishwasher. Had to return these.

I have these plates, some really old Corelle plates, and some newer ones. One of the things I like about Corelle is they feel virtually indestructible. Which is why I tend to end up with a lot of it. There is currently a difference in some Corelle dishes though. These plates are more closely related to the plates you're probably familiar with, but there are some "high lipped/sided" plates currently available too. Initially, I liked the high sided ones, and I still do, but I store my plates in a rack so they're sideways, and the high sides are starting to be a problem. I got these and I'm not having issues with that now. I think I'm going to keep some of the high sides, but from now on, I intend to keep with the traditional style/shape like these.I do love this pattern though, the colors are pretty, and the designs on these tend to last forever if you treat them right. They wash easily, I mostly use the dishwasher, but even when washing by hand, they just seem to fit in the dishrack more easily. They aren't heavy enough to start falling over, they take up less space, they don't chip or break when a 6 year old drops them from counter height into the sink. I'm able to have two or three sets of plates in my plate rack, where with regular types of plates, I may only get 6 total plates, but with these I have about 16 with room to spare. Plus they aren't heavy, so my shelf doesn't sag either. I got rid of all my non-Corelle years ago and haven't looked back, these are a great addition to what I already have.

We are big fans of Corelle dinnerware and this new Terracotta Dreams is inspired by, in Corelle's own words, by 'Antique hand crafted Mexican Tiles' and it matches the description and inspiration spot on as it definitely has an Mexican art vibe to it and it looks beautiful on your dining table !DESIGN- As stated earlier the pattern on the set is inspired by hand painted Mexican tiles and has two distinct patterns .. an orange border pattern on larger 10" dinner plates and a blue floral pattern on these 8.5" salad plates- Because the design of this set is inspired by hand painted tiles.. it reflects on the dinner plates as well i.e it does also have some imperfections you'd typically associated with hand paintings.- One of the first things you'll notice is that the colors are not uniform throughout the plate and have variations in darkness and density from one place to other- Some parts of the pattern also have a 'worn out' and distressed look as well- This distressed look and uneven color densities might sound good in theory but some may not find it that appealingLIKES- Beautiful pattern that looks even better in person and on your dining table- Classic Correlle - the set is lightweight , made of sturdy chip and crack resistant glass- Microwave and oven safe upto 350F- Durable pattern that does not fade or come out even with scrubbing while doing dishesDISLIKES- As I mentioned earlier that the distressed, 'hand painted' look its trying to achieve might not work for everyone. Esp. if you look it up close.. it looks a bit pixelated- Comes in a fairly non-descript cardboard box which does not look that great for gifting- For these reasons I am taking away one starFINAL THOUGHTSWhile we may have pointed out a few 'Dislikes' for this review .. i do want to clarify that both me and my wife still like this dinner set very much and would purchase again .. mainly because how beautiful the pattern is and how it looks on our farmhouse style dining table . This is the primary dinner set in our household right now. The reason we pointed out so many things it to provide a fair review of what could be seen as negatives depending on your preferences . We like this set a lot and would rate it at 4 stars .

Pros:Attractive designDishwasher safeFreezer safeMicrowave safeStack easily, without taking up much spaceDifficult to breakCons:NoneThese salad plates are a wonderful option for anyone looking to add a sturdy and beautiful set to their dish collection. The design on these is adorable and works perfectly for a boho chic aesthetic. The look is slightly pre-distressed, but manages to still look vibrant and bright. The pattern has the faux look of being hand painted which makes for a lovely casual appearance. These would work perfectly for daily use, but look especially lovely for garden or patio dining. This set came well packaged and undamaged. I would have very few concerns about the longevity of these due to the triple layer Vitrelle material used. It is worth noting that the box that these arrived in was surprisingly small. The way that these pack down for space saving also translates to shipping size. They would be super easy to wrap for gifting as well.Overall, I would highly recommend these plates to anyone looking. They’re sturdy, attractive, and add such a fun pop of color to a tablescape.
