I use cam straps all the time for rafting, and this seemed like they would be a good set of 12ft straps. The neoprene boot over the buckle is really nice, it is sewn in place so that it won't slide around, and I think it would be pretty effective at protecting your vehicle or boat from damage if you're tying it down to a roof rack. The straps themselves are made from a good quality webbing and have a good feel in the hand. They're a bit harder to get into the buckle than most cam straps because the neoprene boot is in the way a bit, but once in they tighten easily and hold well. To me the strap and buckle seems just a bit wider than a standard 1" cam strap. I'll be throwing these in my Jeep for whenever I need to strap something to the roof. Would recommend.

Strong strap and the buckle is easy to tighten and holds firmly, somehow they feel like they hold tighter than a ratchet strap. There is a good amount of padding around the buckle to keep it from scratching anything. Very nice.
