Works as advertised. I had no issues removing nails from trim work from around my bedroom door. Actually used it in a pinch for some tile cuttin/nipping and it did awesome there too.

So glad I found this tool. Redoing furniture means it gets a lot if use. Way easier to pull nails and staples then with needle nose pliers

Pulling nails out of old woodwork is a major pain. Hammer claws and crowbars are often ineffective, especially if you're trying to avoid damage to the wood. I inherited an old pair of 10" Nordic Forge end nippers/nail puller from my dad that works incredibly well and is hands down one of the most useful tools in my collection. This nail puller is a very similar smaller version. It works well, but falls short in two ways. First, the biting edges taper to a sharp point in the center of each jaw instead of the outermost edge, so it's harder to get the tool to bite underneath nailheads that are flush with the wood. Interestingly, it seems that all of the cheap versions of these tools including the many different branded ones that are identical to this one (which I'm sure are made in the same Chinese factory) are like this. Some higher end brands like Nordic Forge and Knipex have tools with biting edges that would be more flush with the wood surface, but these are much more expensive.Second, the gap between the handles starts further away from the fulcrum point, so your hand has to be further away making it harder to open up the tool. While I could easily manipulate the jaws of my Nordic Forge tool, this tool takes a bit more coordination. This tool can cut through some smaller nails, but it takes some effort. A bigger version would be better for that purpose, but I always prefer removing nails completely. All flaws aside, this tool gets the job done for cheap and in the absence of a much more expensive alternative, every toolbag should have one.
