My husband loves this little measuring tape. Just the right size to always keep in his pocket— especially when headed to the hardware store!

I have carried the tapes for years.Having been in engineering design work, I found them to be particularly handy and convenient tools to have.

I have used one of these tapes for over 50 years. The one pictured is about 10 or 12 years old. I have a new one sitting in the box that I ordered when I thought I lost the one above. They are extremely durable, accurate to a 1/32 of an inch, and will extend out a full 8 feet. These are not for use by a contractor or builder. But as a sales rep who sold to offices and warehouses, I had a need to measure product and spaces daily. I was always amazed at the number of people who could not read a simple ruler or tape and give me measurements over the phone. Because of its small size and round shape, it can be kept in your pocket and will not destroy your pocket. Even in retirement I keep one of these in my pocket and use it 3 to 4 times a week. To me it’s second only to a good pocket knife.

tape gets caught on itself trying to pull it out every single time. Complete waste of money.

In addition to this item that I bought new, I also bought a used 6ft Thinline from eBay. The used one was older, but was made in the USA. (This item is made in Mexico.) The quality difference is vast. The case is much better made and fitted on the US version. The tape is a heavier gauge and the marking are clearer on the US one as well. I returned this item.
