I got this starter value set to try my hand at some Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV). I don't know much about the difference beyond this. i did not have any issues with the using this product. I only tried it out on some ribbons and apart from using the incorrect type of ribbon, they worked beautifully. This issue may be on my end but I found it a bit hard to work with small cursive fonts and had to resort to working with more standard serif and non-serif fonts with thicker strokes. Again, this might be on my end as I was working with ribbons of only .50" to .75" wide.
