You need 2 sided tape. Clear works best. If not still space between stove and counter that smaller dirt will collect. But you use clear double sided tape to stove and and stainless filler works perfect

I checked all the dimensions, followed all the included instructions and usage tips, but these still didn't work 100% for me. I got these so I wouldn't have to worry about cleaning up food that has fallen between my kitchen counter and stove anymore; this covers that gap, but it doesn't sit flush against the counter so now I have to be sure to clean any water or food that gets under the lip of the gap cover.I guess cleaning under the lip of the cover is a bit easier than cleaning the floor between the gap, but it's annoying that this product has basically just moved the issue to a slightly more convenient place. It may be because the side edge of my countertop is not flush with the side of the cabinet it sits on, but there was nothing in the description, photos, or instructions to warn against that.EDIT 10/9/24: I am upgrading this to a 4-star rating because not only has the gap filler been effective at preventing food from falling between my counter and the stove, but I have not needed to do a deep clean of the small space between the gap filler and the top of my counter yet, so the problem I anticipated has not come to fruition. Cleaning has admittedly been much easier with this gap filler. The next time I move my stove to do a deep clean, I may put some double-sided tape on the lip of the gap filler to make it sit more flush with my countertop.
