Great fit, very soft, perfect color match. Install fairly easy. Real leather. Perfect stitching. Highly recommend. Good price too.

My console lid skin started to wear out so thought I’d try to replace it myself. This product ended up being a perfect replacement. There are videos on YouTube to show you how to do it and it took about an hour, but it actually looks better than original. Very happy with it!

Hopefully this material holds up. Nice fit. This required taking a ton of staples out. I used adhesive spray and 1/4 inch staples.

This product was purchased specifically to replace the center console lid cover in a 2010 Honda pilot. This cover is thicker and more durable than the original leather cover provided with this car. However, the stitching on this product does not match anything else in the interior. It’s not ugly, it’s just unique to see the stitching on this compared to the rest of the car.Next, this is just a shaped piece of leather. It has no adhesive or stretch or tabs to help you fit this to the original console. I had help holding one side in place while I stretched the leather over the console cover to staple it. It will not fit well if you don’t do this and since it is thicker than the original product, you must fit this well in order for the lid to latch closed.Installation would drive you mad if you tried to staple this cover in place without first removing the lid cover. It’s easy to do- you will need a Phillips screwdriver, open the console cover and remove the four screws on the underside of the lid holding it in place. Once you remove the cover, you will be able to manipulate the new replacement cover into place. You will also need a staple gun, with low profile staples. I tried to use heavy duty staples at first, but they will not sink deeply enough into the cover to allow it to close. You must place the low profile staples just right because there is a very thin line between the hard plastic underside, which will not allow a staple to sink into, and the foam edge, that will barely provide enough bite for the staples. Once the cover was stapled into place, I trimmed a little bit of the excess leather, which allowed the cover to be replaced easily. All in all, I recommend this replacement cover if your console leather has split like mine did, however, this one is only for beginners willing to do a bit of DIY, or someone with a touch more know-how. It’s not just a stretchy cover you can pull over the top or your old console and go. It took us about 20+ minutes to install this.
