This pot is the perfect size for small jobs. The material is beautiful. The heat distribution is outstanding. Even comes with a cover.

This is just the little pot I was looking for. It's the perfect size for a single portion of rice or reheating a small amount of leftovers. I have a 1.5 quart pot, but it's just a bit too big for those small tasks. The pan is built like a tank with thick walls and bottom to evenly distribute the heat. I work in a professional kitchen and while I love all-clad, viking, and made-in pans cuisinart has always made my favorite multi-ply sauce pots. I currently have two of the cuisinart multi-clad pro pots (1.5 and 4 qt sizes), and this one is of the same stellar quality. I still recommend all-clad for fry pans (the flared edges make it easy to toss with), and made-in for sauciers, but cuisinart has unbeatable quality and price for sauce pots.

Heavy duty. Great for heating or reheating small portions. Perfect for those who do not use dangerous microwaves. Sits great on our gas range without teetering around. Would definitely recommend.

I like the balance of weight, the solid molded 5-ply construct, smooth top edge and entire pan, the high gloss interior & exterior, 3-cup measure on inside of pan, that it does not tip easily on my gas stove grates (empty or filled), and the ease of cleaning that I have experienced with this pan.I had the same size pan/with cover in a preowned Cuisinart Classic with a glass lid that held water in its rim. I liked its handle a lot, and used an old Circulon pan's lid instead of its glass lid. I also currently own a $20 cheaper Cuisinart 1-quart saucepan, but it is too light weight and tips easily on my gas stove grates.Worth every penny, especially the $20+ more, this new 5-ply stainless steel pan is wonderful. My adult daughter laughs at my being enamored by it, but about 2-years ago I had to go to great lengths to find a 1-quart saucepan with cover that would finish out my All Clad set that had no 1-quart saucepan. I returned at least 3 different, and can tell you which ones are the best quality, and Cuisinart was not one of them. All had rough edges or burrs, lids that did not fit well, handles painful to my hands or too long handles, or needed silicone covers because they would get hot. This Cuisinart saucepan is a winner! In my quest for a 1-quart saucepan, I settled for, and now hope to replace my TRAMONTINA TRIPLYCLAD 1.5 quart and 2-quart saucepans with the new 5-ply Cuisinart; 1 per month and give away those 2 TRAMONTINA pans, which are well made 5-ply, but can boil over when you add salt or pasta or rice once the water has heated almost to boil. For now I totally recommend the 5-ply stainless Cuisinart 1-quart saucepan with cover.
