Plenty of long leads on cable. The vehicle connector is indeed very hard to get to. You can get your fingers on it from the tool box and there is a path for the cable. But getting the two connected was hard for me...fat hands I guess! Since I did not want, or actually know how, to remove the plastic trim I just spent time on it and eventually got it. As stated by another reviewer you need a 30 amp micro cartridge (Micro Cartridge Fuse, OEM# 608830 30 Amp Vehicle Slow Blow FMM Mcase) fuse...the one supplied is too big physically. The 2 provided 20 amp fuses are fine. And I may be wrong, but you actually only need the 30 amp if you are using a brake controller....don't need it if only using taillights.

2025 Trailsport. First one ordered was missing fuse and did not have the 12v power lead in the connector. As well the connector was not the color that the install instructions specified. After installation nothing worked. Peeled back the protective cable cover and found 12v power lead was inside about 5 inches down. How this even passed QI is beyond me.Requested and exchange with amazon and got the new one promptly. Inspected before installation and everything was good. Installed. Worked like a charm.

If you have a factory Honda hitch this harness will not work without a custom mounting bracket. There isn't one with the kit you are on your own. The problem is that an OEM harness has a 90° connection behind the bumper. This harness goes straight in and won't clear the hitch frame. Add to that there's no mounting bracket and apparently none available except with Honda's kit. I would not have bought it if I had known. This harness appears to have a USCAR compliant connector and I am going to attempt to use a receptical that uses the same standards. I found one that has a pigtail with a USCAR connection and hopefully it will work with this harness. After that I will make my own mounting bracket.

At the time of purchase Amazon said this part would not fit my vehicle. If you cross reference the Curt website this is the correct model number for the 24 Pilot. The white plug that’s up under the jack cubby is a pain to get to. You can barely see it looking with your eye close to the bumper. Come to find out the white plug on my Pilot is only held on by a plastic rivet. After removing the plug from my car wall it gave just enough slack to plug the two together. The directions in the box are quite janky. It’s like they took two different instructions and pieced them together to make one. Between what did apply to you through the instructions and common sense it’s not hard to figure it out. Once I got everything ran and cleaned up I went to test the plug and nothing would work. I was getting no power to the plug or the inline fuse. After 15 minutes of double checking everything that’s when I remembered I took a bag of fuses out of the box and left them on the kitchen table. The directions don’t mention anything about the fuses. If you look under the hood in the fuse panel of your Pilot there are 3 fuses missing if you bought your Pilot without a hitch or trailer plug. ( No towing package ). The 30 amp fuse that Curt provides is to big you need the next size smaller. I believe it’s called a low profile 30 amp. I just used the other 30 amp that’s already in the fuse box to test it. I’ll go to O’Reillys tomorrow for the correct fuse. The other two are mini 20 amp fuses and those did come correct with the kit. So other than the instructions and the incorrect 30 amp fuse this was a plug and play kit fairly simple to accomplish.

In step 7 in the instructions, it tells you to hook up another harness in the tailight. That harness is not in the kit, nor do you need it for a 2024 Pilot. Don't forget the three fuses to install under hood, that is not in the instructions either. This is a nice kit for the 2024 Pilot, to bad they couldn't be bothered to update the instructions.
