Was a perfect replacement valve for a tired worn out tub faucet. Everything made by this company has been a high-quality part.

The Kissler stem rubber is too soft and doesn't have a positive "stop" type feeling when I shut off the water, so I replaced with Danco. The Danco stem has a positive stop and the rubber is firm.Five important things:1. The "hot" stem is often used on both hot and cold if you have knobs instead of levers as handles, because both knobs are supposed to turn the same way.2. Make sure the water shut offs below the sink work before doing anything! Mine didn't and I had to replace them before I replaced the stems. It took a lot of time.3. The original stems (not Kissler) did not come out easy. I removed the lock nut and then used pliers to pull straight up.4. You may need a seat wrench. The faucet leaked with the Danco stem and Kissler seat so I had to install the included Danco seat.5 The locknut needs to be tightened until you feel the stem bottom out so that the stem "teeth" grip the inside of the pipe.

Son reemplazos que funcionan a la perfección de American Standar.

I hesitated to order because it was not identical to the original. American Standard must have changed it over the years but the newer style still fits the old lock nut, seat and valve body.Three stars because the left hand thread design reversed directions for on and off. Also the splines for the tap handle are somehow different leaving the handle a little loose. On the positive side the leak is gone and there is way more water flow than with the old one.

Very coarse flow control. Cheap compared to the name brand. Only needed to tide over until bathroom renovation. Get the name brand for best performance.

I purchased this to replace a leaking older American Standard Nu-seal stem. It worked great with no leaks. I followed a few online videos and tips for installation. It really isn't too difficult and you will only need a few tools (screwdriver to remove handle, adjustable wrench for lock nut, hex/allen wrench if you also replace the inner seat). Note that for vertical installations with knobs (shower handles are on the wall and they aren't levers) I read to use two hot stems (Danco 2K-2H) rather than a hot and a cold stem. This means they turn the same direction to turn on and off. Good luck.
