I read the reviews before buying, so I was aware these run small. The thing is, I couldn’t find anything concrete about how the sizing works without having to go measure, and I didn’t have the time or energy to wrangle a wiggly 3yo. The smallest thing available in the color I wanted was XL, and my kid wears a 3T-4T, so I took the gamble. It’s definitely big on him, but it works. There is zero stretch so you’d want a cotton dashiki to be oversized. My guess is that the XL is close to a boys’ 6 or maybe 7. Hope that helps someone. It’s a nice little dashiki that seems sturdy and has pockets, and definitely worth the price—just be sure to choose your size carefully.

This item was only OK, but it served its purpose. The fabric is thin and rough with no give. My son needed a Dashiki to portray Stevie Wonder for African-American History Month. These Dashikis run small and the sizing can be a bit confusing. I had to repurchase the item because the first Dashiki I bought was too small. Fortunately, this item was inexpensive so I did not mind (that much) buying a second shirt. I feel that this item is fine to wear a couple of times, but it's cheaply made and not meant to be a wardrobe staple. I would recommend this item as long as you're not expecting high quality fabric and durability.

I dislike that the size small was like a 24 month!! RIDICULOUS! I will not be able to use it because I need it in 2 days and not only would a reorder not make it in time but I wouldn't know what size a real life size small really was? Very DISSAPPOINTED! Negative stars

The product was of a good quality and looks really nice, however, like others stated the sizes run super small. My son wears a small/medium in most shirts but because of the prior reviews warning about size I ordered the large a it barely fit. He probably will only get one wear out of it. Would have rated a five if it wasn't for the size issue. It is a beautiful shirt.
