This Velum series towel ring has a great built quality. The matte black finish looks classy without any paint defects. The installation is very straightforward installing the base first and attaching the towel right to the base. It's great for holding folded face towels near a sink. Highly recommended!

I am in the process of doing a first floor remodel that includes two bathrooms. So, I have been shopping for bathroom accessories to complete the rooms and ran across this towel ring and decided to order it to see how it would work in my remodel project. Here are my thoughts on the Delta Faucet Velum Towel Ring:1) The quality of materials used is noticeable. It is not using a thin walled material that will easily dent. The towel ring is heavy and solidly built. The finish is on well and I tried to scratch it with a fingernail in a not noticeable spot and could not scratch the finish.2) The towel ring is attached to the base using square tubing and therefore the towel ring does not pivot back and forth. Most I have seen use a plastic washer/bushing to have a friction hold allowing the towel ring to pivot and over time of use the plastic wears making it so the towel ring is floppy which drives me nuts. lol This unit will not have that problem since the towel ring cannot pivot (Pic 4 shows the attachment of the ring to the base.)3) The base is attached to the wall attachment bracket with four pins and a Philips head screw with a lock washer (Pic 2 and 3). This makes the unit very solidly attached and you should never have to tighten the screw to keep the towel ring and base from getting loose. A very good design.4) The attachment to the wall is very typical with a bracket that screws to the wall and then a set screw (Pic 3) tightens the unit to the bracket on the wall. It is a tight fit and it takes a little effort to get it to slide into place so one can set the screw, but it holds it tight in place against the wall once you manage to get it on the bracket.This is a great unit so if you are going for the more square look in your bathroom you will not go wrong with purchasing this towel ring.
