Luckily I was ordering this to replace an older model of this skating pond so I had spare parts.Half the trees weren’t present. One or two of the figurines weren’t present.There wasn’t an AC adaptor.The box itself was all beat up and half of the foam packaging was missing (maybe the missing pieces were supposed to be packaged in that??).I made the mistake of ordering this without reading reviews first as it seems many other people have had similar problems.

Completes my village. I bought it to replace mine that I had bought in 1995. The price was only ten dollars more than the one I bought in 1995.

Department 56 is my favorite brand for village pieces. I love their quality - the paint jobs, the details, it always surpasses Lemax by miles. So when I was looking for a skating rink, I figured this would be a safe bet. It also had the highest reviews. Wrong!My first gripe is with the brand packaging. It comes in a styrofoam type tray, wrapped in a thin cardboard sleeve of sorts, taped together with clear packing tape, and then wrapped in the final, branded, thin, cardboard sleeve. There’s also a good number of plastic bags with the various parts. It’s very cheap and flimsy and not very protective.Second issue is that it has zero lighting. I knew this when I bought it, but it’s still annoying. A couple Lemax brand spotlights fixed the issue - as another reviewer noted, you can hang them in the trees.The main issue is that it worked great upon setup and for MAYBE a week thereafter (on for several hours per night), and then it died. It started with a banging noise. The skaters started going off their tracks into unmarked rink area. After two nights or so of periodic banging, that was all she wrote. The magnets on the skaters don’t even pick up the magnets from the rink - it’s like none are there anymore.It turned into a $120, unlit, non-animated, decorative piece. No thanks! It’s going back to Amazon this week. I still have hope in D56 but I’m definitely disappointed in this purchase.

Bonito aunque es lento comparado a otros animados que tiene la villa.
