Looks fantastic, extremely quiet and the remote makes it an excellent convenience feature.

This has been a mess. First, it would not install, because the downrod is not a standard size, my contractor is unable to find the right parts. Blades are nowhere close to being as "carved" as the pictures look, cheap plastic. Wish I had opted for a different brand.I had notified Design House Customer Service about the downrod issue, and it took Design House TWO WEEKS to answer my inquiry. Thank god Amazon Customer Service had helped two weeks before hand, or else I would have seriously lost it with this vendorFinally got the downrod, got it installed. Now the fan will run reasonably quietly for a little while (so we know it is correctly balanced, put together correctly, etc), then will start this rhythmic screeching. Granted, this is over my bed (and 14 ft in the air on a cathedral ceiling, not an easy place to get to), so I am thankful the old fan switch is next to my bed and I can turn it off.RUN AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT. Nothing but a headache since I bought it.

Looks great and works great. Almost no noise at all. Installation was hard especially with the remote in the fan, almost no space for all the connectors. But after a hassle, end result looks great and remote works flawlessly. In addition, I also attached a light unit to the fan

I installed 3 of these without the remote or a light kit on an outdoor deck. The good - reasonably well-built, quiet, and fairly well balanced straight away. Wiring is simple.The bad - I have put up dozens of ceiling fans in my life and none have ever been this difficult. None of the screws are magnetic so have someone available to pick them all up for you around the ladder as they fall to the ground. The screws that attach the cover to the mounting bracket are far too close to the ceiling and this causes two problems - one is that for mine the cover was too tight against the ceiling and I couldn't close it over the screws without chopping into the ceiling. My solution was to loosen the mounting bracket a little and wedge pennies between it and the box, then tighten it back down. This provided the necessary clearance. The other problem is that there is almost no give whatsoever with respect to the positioning of the screws and the holes - unless everything is perfect there's no way the screw is going into the hole.Attaching the fan blades was a frustrating endeavor. They look fine and hold tight once on, but the screws are very short and it's hard to get them to catch on the thread when screwing them in. Also as mentioned - none are magnetic, so if one gets away from you it's falling to earth. A real pain.Not a bad deal, but much more troublesome installation than any other fan I've ever bought. Perhaps a more seasoned pro wouldn't have been as frustrated; if you're reasonably handy you should be able to do it, but if you're kind of a newbie to installing your own ceiling fan, you're going to have one hell of a time with this one.

Note, blades look good, but are plastic. I did not read fully, and missed that part.Installation was easy...it's a ceiling fan, so working over head and reasonably heavy.Arrived in good condition, worked once setup. Took a bit to balance it.
