This item was a little spendy for a consumable, but I'm glad I went for it because its working well and standing up to the punishment I'm putting it through. I've been using it to clean up the concave shapes on a set of stair railings I made in red oak. It looks like It will last for this whole project, and into a few more.

Works great to get into hard-to-access places. I make wood bowls and a flap wheel sander works better for me than a sanding disk. They don;t clog up as easily and get into the sides better. They are limited, however, because they require a minimum sized opening to be able to get the wheel into but that isn't often a problem. This is an 80-grip wheel which is great for medium-aggressive sanding and I would recommend also getting a 120-grit wheel for finer sanding. This is a DeWalt brand and seems very sturdy and well made.
