Reasonably long lasting while cutting. Worth the money. The description is misleading, at the time I write this, it says, "manufactured in china", my discs are made in Slovenia, an European country, thus better for many reasons.

I’ve been using these to cut the galvanized metal cage (fairly thin metal) around a 275-gallon IBC tote, and it’s done very well. I like that I can even shave off pieces as thin as about 1/32” when my first cut isn’t perfect. I would like to see a better method for changing these wheels when one is worn down, but that’s a minor annoyance about the whole system and not about the quality of this item. The wheels themselves work great, and I haven’t had one chip or fly apart on my current or past projects. It’s easy l to recommend these wheels.

In my garage, my 4 1/2" angle grinder is my go to tool for most cutting, grinding, and heavy abrasion/cleaning tasks. Seeing heavy use, I go through dozens of cutoff and grinding wheels annually and these Dewalt Type 27 (depressed center) wheels work very well. The cut straight, clean, fast, and I've never had one break under normal use. I also use plenty of their Type 1 (flat center) wheels with much success. These are on par with other top performers such as SAIT and Norton.Note that these are designed for cutting Ferrous metals, not aluminum, copper, brass, etc. If you're cutting these softer, nonferrous metals or other materials such as glass, ceramics or tile, use the proper wheel, because these wheels will clog and will no longer cut effectively.
