Have used this brand for years and have always had good luck. Just stick to the 2:1 ratio (a must), stir it really well and you're golden.Tip: in cold weather the resin will be thick and more difficult to pour out and mix. Before pouring anything out put the bottle in the sun for a little bit or put the whole container in a bowl of hot water. Let it heat up for a little bit, then pour and mix.

This was helpful to repair my epoxy waveski. If I had big holes to fill in, I would first put in some styrofoam so I could use less of the product, it would dry better, and I would keep my board as light as possible. It does drip, so if you don't want drips you will likely have to sand when you are done. One of the bottles came with a broken cap so I had to use wax paper and a rubber band on the cracked cap on the one bottle. The ratio to use is 2 parts resin to one part hardener. The resin is thick (hardener is thin) and it is not that easy to get the precise amount you want. Also if you use some type of measuring cup, you will need something to scrape it out of the measuring cup and will likely waste resin in the measuring cup and in the item to scrape it out of the measuring cup. If they gave you or you have some type of measuring syringes, that would be helpful. Also, if you could see how much was in the bottles, and if the one you need to use twice as much was the same height but twice as wide, then you could simply look at the bottles and make sure the amount left in each bottle was the same. I know different size bottles would likely cost a little more but it would be worth it. Also, you will want to wear gloves as this stuff can be sticky and messy, and make sure whatever is underneath is okay to drip on and the items are not where leaves, dust ... can blow and stick to the resin. If you don't have gloves, you could put plastic grocery bags or something like that on your hand, but it is more difficult to not have those get in your way.

This product worked great for me. I coated the rails of an old 11' surftech rescue board with a couple coats of this and it is holding up wonderfully.(incidentally, I used Flex Seal on the deteriorating softop foam and it's actually pretty descent)I'm going to try scraping off the soft top and laying epoxy on the entire deck on the next one.If using on a large area, you want to work pretty quickly.
