I loved this for our themed outing. I had to walk up steps so I pulled the waist of the skirt up to the bottom of my bra. It was hot and I didnt want my ankles covered. You can tell by the other ladies in the picture they had theirs down and it looked better. Great skirt for the money. When I ordered I did not expect good quality for what I paid, I would have been happy to get one use--- I was pleasantly surprised. It held up well and I will be wearing again. I did not expect the fishtail of the skirt to look like the stock photo as I had read reviews and looked at other pictures of reviewers.

The skirt is beautiful! The colour's are lovely and the blue tulle definitely gives the skirt the mermaid flare. But it doesn't work if it doesn't fit.Amazon said because I normally I order large it recommended the 2xl from this brand. Sadly 2xl from this brand is more like a North American small or medium at most.The elastic waist is a tight stretch, it stretches but not that much. The inner layer of fabric isn't a stretch fabric and the beautiful outer sequined layer is not stretchy. Basically you need to fit into it mostly as it is.As you can see, the waist at rest is just 11 inches across, even doubled, that's just fitting a 22 inch waist comfortably. Tight on a 24.I could pull the skirt on unzipped but it was no where near zipping up.Shop carefully!

I'm a large and per reviews bought a 2XL and its tight. I can wear it but it's tight. The zipper is cheap. But for me it's a one time use skirt.

This dress has 0 shape. Whoever cut out the pattern did not put any thought into making it shape like a mermaid tale, or even to shape a body period. it’s a very boxy shape nothing like the picture. And the tail was nothing like the picture as well. Very disappointed.
