This set (we bought 4) is designed either for screw, lag screw, or through-bolt installation.The through-bolt version has a hex insert, allowing one-person installation, as the hex head of your bolt won't move as you're under the dock tightening the nuts.It's of a size to allow deck screws or lag screws to fit into that same space (not at the same time, silly!), and can be driven with the proper head on your driver, depending on the type of hardware you use.Well galvanized, particularly if you rinse it in a marine (salt water) environment, it should last many years before showing any rust.With the proper fasteners, it's stout enough to take a notable load.And the price was right. Well done, Amazon!

Good price, ok quality. Keeps the boat from floating away so far so good. Would give it 4 stars but the finish could be a bit better.

This was easy to screw onto a board and then screw the board onto a wall as an easy tie for ropes holding my bikes to the roof of a garage. They are solid and each holding around 500b of weight easy to install if your anchoring them to a stud or other structure
