This net fastens easily and cinches up tight. It provides just enough barrier that my sneaky dogs can no longer inch their way from the console to my lap or the passenger seat. I'm able to focus on driving and the road rather than battling to keep my fur babies in the back where they belong. I can even just leave it up hen I use my back seat hammock style seat protector. Worth every penny.

I haven’t had my dog in the car with this net installed yet but I’m sure it’s going to help me keep him in back.My front passenger air bag can’t be turned off and it scares me to have him in front. He’s ridden in the front seat for 10 years and keeping him in back has been a huge challenge with my new car.I thought this would be cheap netting but it’s almost like a plastic netting and I think this will hold up good. Pleasantly surprised when I opened the package. The top was easy to install. The bungee cords were a bit of a challenge because I really had to stretch them to find something to hook them on to. But it’s nice and snug.I hope he doesn’t try to jump the net or something but other then that, I’m very hopeful it will keep my boy in back.

This product alone would not have kept my dogs back (Golden Retriever and Golden Doodle). However, I'm giving it 4 stars because it is a good quality item, easy to install, and I was still able to use it in tandem with another item I bought. The other item (cage-like divider) was only for the top of the seats and left a gap in between them. This item combined with the other, sealed out all areas in between the seats and kept both dogs out.

It somewhat worked during a 16 hour drive when moving to another state. My dog (a 70lb Labrador/Pitbull mix) has always been very hyperactive when in the car, to the point where she jumps into the front seat and one time even shutting my car off, and putting it out of gear. While this kind of deters her from jumping on the front seat, if she really wants to jump over it, she will. Still, it is better than trying to hold her with my arm. So I say it does help. It's made of a very sturdy mesh, enough to hold he weight. This would work better for smaller dogs.
