Have this running for two months now. Perfect solution for my use: wanted to stream hi res from my Windows 11 Asus laptop to processor/amp. No special setup required on Windows 11. I have my laptop connected to tb-4/usb-4 docking station, then usb from docking station to this device, then digital optical out from device to processor/amp. No issues for set up, and supports up to 24/192 audio streaming from my streaming service. Quality is great, no difference from when I directly connected digital optical from my old desktop to processor/amp. Note, I did not test DSD and that does require a separate driver according to instructions. This device seems to cost more than many others, but for the trouble free install and operation, I am very satisfied. And Windows volume control does work.

I toss this between a mac and a PC. For the mac this solves the problem of having an optical sound setup and a newer mac that doesn't have optical out. On the PC side this allows the speakers to play some in game sounds (engines, hydralics etc of a flight sim) and route speech (Air traffic control) through a headset. Saves having to unplug the headset from the PC's sound card.Nice and compactm, I can stuff it in the rear door of my Phanteks NV7 case, or velcro it under the table near where the macbook lives (I mostly use my mac in clamshell mode)And yes, it's USB -C

A great solution for sending digital audio to a DAC from a computer or Raspberry pi. Supports everything you'd really need including DSD and 44.1khz to 192hkz PCM. I previously bought a much cheaper Cubilux USB to optical audio output adapter on amazon but it didn't support DSD or 88.2khz like this adapter does. I also really like that it's a detachable USB cable. It also supports coaxial cables which is harder to find these days.I do have 1 minor complaint though. I planned on using this to send audio from a Linux PC running Squeezelite to a Topping E30 II. The topping has a setting where it will go into standby mode when it no longer receives a signal, and Squeezelite has a setting to stop sending a signal after a set period of time. For whatever reason this isn't compatible with the Douk Audio U2, it's always sending a signal. You can see this by looking at the optical audio cable, there's always a red light on. The cheaper Cubilux adapter does not have this issue. Again not a huge deal but I do wish it would allow the Topping to go into standby. It just means the display will never shut off. I ended up using this on a different setup where the dac is never off anyways.Overall it's a solid and well built device. I'd personally recommend it over the Cubilux adapter for it's extra features and build quality/durability.1 YEAR UPDATE: Still have this device and it still works great. Something I didn't realize before is that it sends audio through the Toslink and Coax at the same time. So now I'm using this in my office to get audio from a Raspberry Pi running squeezelite with toslink into an SMSL SU-1 for my headphone amp, and coax into an NEOHIPO DC10 for an old vintage stereo.

「導入目的」もともとデジタルアンプDOUK AUDIO M100を使用していたため、同一メーカのDDCを探して本品を見つけた。主たる目的はSPDIF接続によりデジタルアンプとPCのアースループを遮断するためにの目的で購入。「視聴環境」PC→ハブ：Lemorele TC94：USB C ハブ → DDC（本器）Douk Audio USBコンバーター XMOS XU208 パソコンはビットパーフェクトで送り出し。 USBハブにはHDMI経由で２台のモニターを接続している。 入力USBケーブルフェライトビーズで高周波ノイズを除去。PD60Wケーブルで＋5V電源を安定に送る。 ハブはパッシブ状態（PD給電なし：PCからの電源供給のみ）で使用。アンプ：DOUK AUDIO M100 電源強化：＋20V/5Aアダプター / FX-AUDIO- Petit Susie / FX-AUDIO- Petit Tankスピーカー：BOSE 121 WestBorough：ビンテージ物(^▽^) ニアフィールド視聴環境「結果」音声無音状態 → DOUK AUDIO M10ボリューム最大(50)で雑音は確認できず。 なお、BOSE121は比較的低能率スピーカーであり、低域は70Hz位が再生限界、高域は小生６５歳ということもあり言及できない。通常視聴状況（アンプボリューム 15：10時位置）定位：ボーカル・ベース・バスドラム センターに定位している。なお、ボーカルは手前側に出てきている。ハイハット・ギターカッティングなどは相対的にレコーディングエンジニアが想定している位置でなっていると思う。音圧感：ニアフィールド視聴においては、十分駆動できている。変なうるささ・ざわつきは感じない。「総評」全体的な評価とはなるが、DDCとしてのコストパフォーマンスがよい。問題があるとすれば、本品ではないがDOUK AUDIO M100のSIPDF端子ロック機構に不具合が生じ、DOUK AUDIO のsupportメールに修理依頼をしたが無しのつぶてである。

Além do benefício de duplicar o sinal digital USB em duas saídas simultâneas Coaxial e Toslink, percebi benefícios sonoros, talvez pelo equipamento também servir como um filtro de eventuais interferências. Estou usando USB IN - Toslink OUT. Percebi o som mais limpo, mais detalhado e ao mesmo tempo mais encorpado. Utilizei tanto com o notebook (windows 10) quanto com o Nvidia Shield e obtive excelentes resultados. Vale o preço pedido.
