Received in perfect shape and fits just like the original. Wouldn't be able to tell it's not the original. Seller also reached out and checked on the delivery of the package to ensure it came in mint condition. Really appreciated that and the follow through. Great product and great service! Highly Recommend.

Works well enough. It is just a touch larger then the one I had on my XL. It drops to the top of the egg VS the other one stopped before bottoming out.

My medium egg didn't come with one. As the egg takes a long time to cool down after cooking, it's a good piece to use in place of the actual cast iron cooking vent piece at the top. Newer eggs don't have a removable vent. Mine does. If you leave that on overnight, and you have rain or heavy dew on the egg in the morning, the vent will show rust from moisture on it overnight. Then you have to renew it by oiling the lid and baking it in your oven for a couple of hours to bake the oil and shin back in. These removable vents are just like an unseasoned piece of cash iron and that's the procedure to keep them in shape.

It is not absolutely necessary for proper BGE operations, but I use it to put out the fire when I've finished and preserve the unburnt coals and to keep the BGE sealed when not in use. I store the rEGGulator cap inside the egg to protect it from the elements. I'm new at BGE cooking but I figure a ceramic cap is less likely to rust. The color and texture is a perfect match.
